Anna Gunn

Anna Gunn (born in America) is an American actor. She is best known for her character Skyler White in Breaking Bad, an AMC Drama series Breaking Bad for which she was awarded the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting actress in a Drama Series in 2013 and 2014. In addition to playing Martha Bullock and Jean Ward She has also appeared on The Practice. Anna Gunn began acting as an elementary school student in Sante Fe New Mexico. After that, her family relocated to Ohio and she continued her passion for the stage. She spent a year at the British American Drama Academy and took classes in theatre in the theatre department at Northwestern University. Anna began her career in Chicago and worked in theater role for several years. Then she moved to Hollywood where she started acting in TV shows and films. In 1992, Anna landed her first big part as Arden in the 29th episode of Down the Shore. After guest appearances as a Star in several TV Shows and films, such as Seinfeld and NYPD Blue during the 90's and was later cast as Jean Ward as part of The Practice. In 2000, she was placed in Deadwood as Martha Bullock for two full seasons. Skyler was in Breaking Bad (2008). Sully was also one of her characters. Gunn was on stage to star in David Schwimmer's Sex With Strangers. She was also a part of the podcast audio drama of four episodes The Numbered Days series, which launched in 2022. Breaking Bad revolves around Walter White's wedding to Skyler. Walter White's personal story and the strain on the marriage he shares with Skyler are mirrored in the television show.
